Walking through to Flash of Beauty Beach, view from the beach bar/restaurant.  Wow!
This beach had the most beautiful snorkling, certainly of this trip and perhaps ever for
Allison and me.  Within a few yards of the beach is a huge amount of reef.  We asked
someone which direction to go in, and they pointed out a cut through the reef, which we
found our way into after a few false starts.  The cut went from about 10-30 feet deep, and
was only about 10 feet wide for much of the way, so we had amazing walls of reef all
around us all the way up to the surface!  The coral was beautiful and there were an incredible
number and variety of fish.  The most dramatic was the spotted eagle ray which Allison
pointed out to me and we followed along for a few minutes.  Awesome!  Further out we got
some rougher surge and deeper water which made for decreased visibility, but we were
pretty tired by that point, so we headed back in.  Of course, we didn't remember the path we'd
taken through the reef, so we had a few exciting moments holding our breath and swimming
carefully over shallow spots, but we made it back safe, sound, and very happy with all we'd seen.
