The next day was our last full day on the boat. Fortunately, we
had a great sailing day. The wind was
really blowing, and our course took us on a nice reach from Jost over
past the west end of Tortola
and St John and over to Norman Island for our final night. While
there were a number of other boats
following our course, we were the only one who did it entirely under
sail, which made me proud of us.
We wanted to go directly upwind, so it took a lot of tacks to get
there, especially through the fairly
narrow gap between St John adnd Tortola, but we made it. The crew
got a good workout moving
the sails around that day, but all performed very well indeed. A
fine last day of sailing on the Eftihia.
