Smiths' Farm
May 2004

Allison and I met up with Tim for a couple of days on the farm of Ed and Ruth Smith, about half an hour north of
Charlottesville, Virginia.  The farm consists of 100 acres that the Smiths have spent the last 40 years reforesting
and planting wildflowers to create a magical destination.  We were there to visit, relax, swim in the pond,
help out with a few odd jobs, and eat some of the outstanding food brought by members of the Wild Herb Society
for their annual party, which coincided with our visit.  We hope to make it back again someday soon.
