Over the weekend I played around during the final tech and dress
rehearsals for Choreo Collective's
Current Collection. I photographed mostly from the wings,
incorporating the sidelights to get a slightly
different perspective. Only once was I nearly run over by a
dancer kicking and jumping her way offstage. :)
I had a hard time selecting a shot for my PAW. In the end I was
drawn to the one above, despite it's technical "flaws.".
But as Henri Cartier-Bresson is supposed to have said: "Sharpness
is a bourgeois concept."
I like this one, which is my alternate, in
part because you can see the dancers waiting and watching from the
wings.
