Dr. Aaron, PhD ;-)
I am no longer a graduate student...on Wednesday,
July 27, a travesty of academia was
perpetrated when my thesis committee decided that my defense had been
successful. (photo

Between thunderstorms, the heat wave, and (mostly)
writing my dissertation, I barely spent
any time outside this summer. Finally, on Thursday, I headed down
to the weekly music
and picnic fest at Weaver Street Market in Chapel Hill. Mary Beth
and Quinn kept Allison
company while I slipped away for a few minutes to photograph some
hooping and flagging.
It was a very nice way to celebrate the
successful defense of my dissertation the day before!
