The Process:
I print my photos on 100%
cotton rag acid-free paper using pigment Ultrachrome inks. I then
coat the
prints with an invisible protective spray to protect them from
environmental
degradants.
When properly framed, the estimated display life of these prints is in
the hundreds of years.
Some might consider this overkill, but I think art should outlast its owner. |
For Local Purchasers:
You can see my work at Shade Tree Coffee and Through This Lens Gallery, both in Durham, NC. For local folks, I mat and frame the prints myself, using archival mats and ultraviolet-filtering conservation glass. This ensures the prints are properly protected. I frame with thin black aluminum gallery-style frames...very simple and clean and they look great |
